BSR Spain was born in November 2022, promoted by the Spanish Federation of Sports for People with Physical Disabilities, with the aim of promoting wheelchair basketball at all levels and developing its growth from the base to high performance through the different stages of training and promotion.

We work with the aim of promoting the development of wheelchair basketball in Spain and its worldwide projection. For this reason, our structure covers players, coaches, clubs, coaches and different organizations that promote the practice of sport for people with physical disabilities.

Our wheelchair basketball development policy ranges from national competitions at the absolute level of the League (Division of Honor, First and Second), Copa del Rey and different trophies to the various grassroots categories, without forgetting the activity of the respective Spanish national teams or training programs for clubs, players and referees.

On the other hand, being immersed in the digital era, and to adapt to the technological advances demanded by society, we are making an innovative audiovisual commitment that is allowing our sport to position itself among the elite, competing with Spanish disciplines with many more financial resources. .

Finally, BSR Spain also has the mission of promoting inclusion and equal opportunities in sport through wheelchair basketball, a team sport with which many barriers can be broken down to continue advancing as a society.
